FULTON, NY – Donald C. Shatrau, 62, of Fulton, passed away suddenly on Friday May 30, 2014.

He retired from Nestle Company in Fulton after more than 30 years.

Don was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors, farming and motocross racing.

He was the son of the late, Harry and Ruth Stewart Shatrau and was predeceased by a brother, Robert Shatrau.

Surviving are his children, Amy (Fred) Lovell, Connie (Roland) Jacobs and Sheri Dix all of Arizona and Johnathan Weldin of Fulton; siblings, Vaughanda (Gary) Larson of Bethany, West Virginia, Helena (Warren) Rockwood of Lysander, Sharon Poyneer, Linda (Chris) Scriber and Brenda Shatrau all of Oswego, Richard (Sue) Shatrau and Melvin Shatrau all of Fulton, Peter Shatrau of North Carolina and Timothy (Michelle) Shatrau and Chris (Denise) Shatrau all of Oswego; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and his beloved dog, Sadie.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with services immediately following.

Memorial contributions may be made in Don’s name to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 3229 E. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13214.
