Donald H. Turner, 85, of Freestone Rd., Clay, former Phoenix, NY resident passed away with his family by his side.
Born in Baldwinsville to the late Harry and Emma (Butler) Turner on January 16, 1926. A graduate of Phoenix High School, later serving in the Army Air Force during WW II. Don late worked at G.E. Co., Syracuse. He was a member of the Assembly of God North Central, N. Syracuse.
Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Bette E. (Alley) Turner; his adult children, Lynda Joy (William) Bush of Hastings, Earl R. (Barbara) Turner of E. Syracuse, and Holly Jean (David) Parkhurst of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren, Mindi, Canaan, Jarah, Hannah, Jilayne, Naomi, Jesse; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; a dear friend, Diane Boylan; and many close friends.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home. Services will be on Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY, with Pastor Eric Hamlin officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
