OSWEGO – Donald J. Lalonde, 88, of Oswego died Thursday May 3, 2012, in Oswego Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. LaLonde was born in Watertown, the son of the late Clarence and Ethel LaLonde, and had been a resident of Oswego since 1959.
Mr. LaLonde owned LaLonde Plumbing, Watertown, where he was a master plumber.
He later worked as a pipefitter with the Plumbers & Steamfitter Local #73, Oswego.
Mr. Lalonde was a member of Aurora of CNY.
He was a former member of the Elks, VFW and the American Legion. Mr. LaLonde also served in the U.S.Navy during World War 2.
He enjoyed outdoor sports especially golf and fishing.
Mr. LaLonde is survived by his wife, Jeanette LaLonde of Oswego; his children, Dorothy (Michael) Rumrill of Oswego and Samual (Sherri) LaLonde of Oswego; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Emily, Mariah and Samual II.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday 4 – 7 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
