Donald W. Kelly, 69, a resident of Middle Rd, Scriba, passed away, Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Patrick and Ethel Kelly.
Don became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14.
Mr. Kelly is a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was employed at Hammermill Paper for 11 years; he then worked as a factory mechanic for Niagara Mohawk for over 22 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the local IBEW and Niagara Mohawk Retirees Association and a member of St. MaryÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Church.
Mr. Kelly was an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed traveling with his wife, yard work, gardening and bird watching.
Surviving is his wife, Diana (Hull) Kelly; two brothers, Charles (Patricia) Kelly of Oswego and LeRoy (Joan) Kelly of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. MaryÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Church in Oswego.
Burial will be in St. PaulÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Cemetery
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
