OSWEGO, NY – Donna E. Kirkman, 84, a resident of Hall Road, Oswego, passed away Friday April 27, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Frances (Myers) Green.
She was employed as an operator for NY Telephone. She also owned her own ceramic shop on Lake View Road in Scriba and later worked on the County Board of Elections.
She was a hospice and literacy volunteer.
Donna was an avid reader and enjoyed painting.
Surviving are her two daughters, Karen Moore of Texas and Marene Hogan of Scriba; her sisters, Margaret Crisafulli and Irene Blake, both of Oswego; five grandchildren, Frederick Hart, Stephen Hart, Christopher Hogan, Brett Hogan and Megan Hogan Roy; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews; and her best friend, Alice Feeney.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick “Skip” Kirkman; his sister, Norma Hibbert; and grandson, Ryan Hart.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
