PHOENIX, NY – Donna M. Franczak, 75, former Phoenix resident, passed away on Sunday November 9, 2014, at Morningstar Care Center, Oswego, NY.
She was born to her late parents, Clara (Carpenter) and George D. Matteson in Hornell, NY, on February 2, 1939.
Donna was a graduate of Sloan High School.
Donna was a teller for Marine Midland Bank, Buffalo, NY, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of First Congregational, UCC, Phoenix; Order of the Eastern Star-Bethlehem Chapter # 634, Buffalo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Franczak, in 1977; two sisters, Elizabeth Stewart and June Carnes; one brother, Westley Matteson.
Surviving are her sister, Marjorie (David) Day of Pennellville; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m., with a funeral service at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Craig Wilson officiating.
This will take place in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431Main St., Phoenix.
Friday burial will occur at 11 a.m. in Ridge Lawn Cemetery, 595 Pine Ridge Heritage Road, Buffalo, NY 14225.
