Dorothy R. Segerlind, 96, of Hannibal died Monday at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.
Dorothy was born July 8, 1915 in Ilion, NY to the late, Caius and Dorothy Nichols. Before moving to Hannibal, Dorothy lived in Quaker Street, NY and was the organist for 40 years at the United Methodist Church in Delanson, NY where she had also taught Sunday school and was the director of the church choir. Dorothy was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Segerlind and by a daughter, Sandra Schlim.
Surviving are her son, John (Karen) Segerlind of Hannibal; brother, Earl (Barbara) Nichols of Hannibal; son-in-law, John Schlim of Peterborough, NH; grandchildren, John (Wendy) Schlim, Steve (Wendy) Schlim, Eric Schlim, Dawn Schlim, Jeremy (Thuy) Segerlind, Kerri Carroll and Jason (Amanda) Segerlind; several great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal. Graveside services are 12 noon Friday at Tabor Lutheran Cemetery, Kane, PA.
