Oswego, NY – The Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation 2011 Golf and Hockey Classic is ready to take the ice… and links this upcoming July 22-25 in Oswego, as preparations for the annual event are near completion, according to event organizer Kevin Caraccioli.
Members of the Dream Big Committee gathered recently to work on the final planning for the fundraising event held at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center and Oswego Country Club. The Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation was established in 2007 by Oswego-native, NHL hockey player, Stanley Cup Champion, and U.S. Olympian Erik Cole. The non-profit organization was created to support youth hockey programs, as well as children who are suffering from cancer and other diseases.
In addition to the traditional 3-on-3 youth hockey classic and golf tournament, this year’s weekend activities will also include the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit from Toronto on July 23rd from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Campus Center, as well as an NHL Player Exhibition at 7 p.m. that day, as Cole and many of his NHL friends and teammates take the ice to show off their unique talents. The popular hockey-themed musical group The Zambonis will also perform at the Campus Center during the NHL Player Exhibition. Shown pictured from left to right are committee members Scott Glickman, Kevin Caraccioli, Tim Graber, and Lori Cutuli.
