County ADA Arrested on DWI Charges After Crash in Sandy Creek

At about 7:09 a.m. today (May 11), Mr. Christopher resigned his position as an Assistant District Attorney with the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office.

His resignation was accepted by DA Greg Oakes.

The DA’s Office has applied for the appointment of a special prosecutor and the court appointed the Onondaga County DA’s Office to handle the prosecution of this matter.

SANDY CREEK – On Thursday (May 10), at approximately 5:58 p.m., State Police in Pulaski responded to Elms Road in the town of Sandy Creek for a property damage auto accident.

As a result of the investigation, Thomas Christopher, 58,, from Chipman Lane in Sandy Creek, was arrested for DWI (BAC .17%) and Leaving the Scene of a property damage accident.

He is a former assistant district attorney with the Oswego County DA’s Office.

Mr. Christopher was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Sandy Creek Court on May 17 at 7 p.m.

The investigation is continuing at this time.
