Driver Charged In Fatal Crash

WILLIAMSTOWN – Jeffrey A. Carroll of North Little Rock, Arkansas, the driver of the lift boom truck involved in the fatal crash in the town of Williamstown on March 30 is alleged to have been operating the vehicle under the influence of marihuana.

Carroll was arrested April 18 and charged with DWAI Drugs (unclassified misdemeanor), Manslaughter in the Second Degree (C Felony) and Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree (D Felony).

He was arraigned before the Town of Williamstown Judge, Michele Bull, and remanded without bail to the Oswego County Jail.

Carroll is to return to the Town of Williamstown Court on April 24 at 6 p.m.

The collision is still under investigation.
