Duck Derby Set This Sunday

HANNIBAL, NY – The annual Ducks over the Dam race will be held this Sunday, July 7, at the Mill Street pond in Hannibal, following the concert in the park.

The winner of the race (first duck over the dam) receives $1,000.

The race raises money for Hannibal Dollars for Scholars.

Dollars for Scholars is a program of Scholarship America.

Hannibal Dollars for Scholars provides scholarships to graduates of Hannibal High School each year.

The number of scholarships awarded varies due to the amount of funds raised through events such as the Duck Derby.

If all the ducks are sold, the derby will net four scholarships of $500 each.

Ducks are still available.

Volunteers will be selling the ducks Saturday and Sunday morning at the Hannibal Village market, at the concert in the park in the afternoon and at the event if any are still unsold.
