Edson James Roy King, 57, a resident of Center St. Oswego, passed away September 19, 2011 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Ogdensburg, NY he was the son of Marian E. (Kiah) King of Oswego and the late Edson J. King.
He served in the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge #271. He enjoyed golf, the outdoors, hunting, and spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Edson worked as a Security Guard for Morris and AMSA.
Surviving besides his mother, are his sister, Dorene M. Rowlee of Liverpool and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11a.m., Thursday, at St. Stephen’s Church. Entombment will be in All-Saints Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 9-11a.m. Thursday, prior to the service, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St, Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VA Hospice Care Unit, 800 Irving Ave. Syracuse, NY 13210.
