Oswego Health will hold its eighth annual Charity Walk/Run on May 18 at the Seneca Hill Health Community.
This year’s event will benefit Oswego Health’s cancer outreach and education support services.
The event is also supported by the Oswego and Fulton YMCAs. The paved course at the Seneca Hill Campus is a certified 3.1- (5K) mile course for runners and walkers. There is also a 1.5-mile course for walkers. In addition, the unpaved nature trail walk will be available.
Check in begins at the upper parking lot of The Manor at Seneca Hill at 8 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m.
The pre-registration fee is $15 for adults and $6 for children aged six to 12. Same day registration is $20. There is also a family rate of $35. Children under the age of five can participate for free.
Those who take part in the walk/run may also seek pledges, however this is not required.
For anyone collecting $50 or more in pledges, the registration fee will be waived.
Participants who register by May 10 will receive a draw string bag at the event.
This is a family friendly event and children are welcome. Pets on a leash are also allowed.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three men and women runners and walkers.
Door prizes will also be given. Registration forms are available at the Oswego or Fulton YMCAs, The Manor and Springside, both located on the Seneca Hill campus, Oswego Hospital and several local businesses.
A form will be available on the Oswego Health website at www.oswegohealth.org
