OSWEGO, NY – The community is invited to come celebrate the gift of giving and assist families of middle school students.
Oswego Middle School will hold a backpack program fundraiser at the school on November 13 from 5-7 p.m. called “Empty Bowls.”
The backpack program will assist families who find themselves in need of some additional support during school breaks.
Oswego Middle School sent home food and hygiene products to 20 families during two school breaks last year.
“Empty Bowls” will be a school and community-based soup dinner, prepared by teachers, staff and administrators.
The public is welcome.
Donations will be accepted for the soup dinner, and baked goods will be available for purchase.
In addition, bowls decorated by Oswego Middle School students will be available for purchase, and the event will include raffles, prizes and music.
Please e-mail [email protected] or call Chalet Dewey-Flint at 341-2345 for donations, and/or ticket information.
People are encouraged to provide a family name and the number of people attending.
With an advance donation of $3 per ticket by November 6, attendees will receive a free entry into a drawing for a fabulous prize.
