OSWEGO – Antonia D’Amato will have an exhibition of her multidimensional artwork in the Alcove Gallery at the Art Association of Oswego. The opening reception will be Saturday, March 28th, 7-9pm. The Lakeside Statewide Juried Exhibition will run simultaneously in the McHenry and Beason galleries. Both shows will run through April 26.

Antonia D’Amato is self taught, her work ranges from pastels to multimedia creations that provide a glimpse in time… a moment to immerse yourself in and become part of what you are looking at. Besides her paintings there will be her three-dimensional miniature rooms, which are very small intricately furnished rooms.

Antonia has been part of the Oswego Community for 25 years. Some of that time has been devoted to being an elementary school teacher in the Oswego City School District. Now, an avid member of the Art Association of Oswego, Antonia sells her work and takes commissions in a variety of areas. She also works as a musician in a local band, Very Next Accident, singing and playing percussion. Antonia will be teaching a class on how to create a miniature journal at the AAO, April 11, Saturday 10-noon. The Art Association is located at 30 Barbara Donahue Drive, across the street from Fort Ontario. For more information visit the AAO website oswegoarts.org.
