After he is beaten up and left for dead for fear he’ll defeat his former employer’s (Stephen Lang) son, Richard (Alex Nesic), in a boxing match, fruit-picker Hector Villa (Kuno Becker) trains with demoralized coach Billy (Bruce McGill) to keep his family safe and to exact revenge. With his mother’s recent death on his mind and a desire to rise above his meager occupation, Hector fights for more than a championship title.
