Lakeside Statewide Juried Art Exhibition at the Art Association of Oswego

OSWEGO – The Art Association of Oswego announces the opening of a new exhibition, the 29th Annual

Lakeside Statewide Juried Art Exhibition on March 28th. Kristy Hoover and Emily C. Clarke, jurors for this year’s show, were tasked with the difficult job of narrowing down over 200 artwork entries by artists from across New York State to the final 60-65 pieces that will become part of the exhibition. The diverse group of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional entries in a variety of mediums were submitted digitally by more than 70 artists from across the Empire State. Awards will be chosen once the exhibition is physically installed in the gallery.

Always the biggest event of the year for the Art Association, the opening reception for this exhibition will feature two galleries of artwork, plenty of food, live music by guitarist Kenny Roffo and an awards ceremony. The reception will be held from 7 to 9 pm on Saturday, March 28 with the awards ceremony at 8 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

In conjunction with this exhibition will be a show of artwork by Antonia D’Amato in the alcove of the Art Center lobby. D’Amato’s work is intimate and contemplative. Regular gallery hours are from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturdays, from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sundays and from 10 am to 2 pm on Wednesdays during open studio hours. The shows are also open for viewing during any class times or during any performances by the Oswego Players.
