Oh What a Night! CNYAlive’s First Annual Battle of the Bands

LIVERPOOL, NY – And what a night it was! We would like to take a moment to thank all of those involved in making this inaugural Battle of the Bands a success.

And what would a BOTB be without the bands!?!? We couldn’t have asked for a better combination of diverse styles to showcase what the central New York music scene has to offer on stages throughout the area and beyond. Congratulations to Soberdose on their win on this maiden voyage! We also want to thank Zeppelin V, Mythorya, Circle of Stone, and Cold Front for giving your all and giving the crowd that special thing you do! Each band’s professionalism did not leave the crowd waiting. Excellent job by all!

Of course, we have to give a shout-out to Jim and his team at Sharkey’s! Thanks for keeping the food hot and the beer cold! We couldn’t have asked for a more accommodating and professional partner for this benefit. Also, thanks to Paulie and the crew for giving top-notch sound and lighting. It was a big stage, a big night and big fun!

Finally, The Syracuse Foodbank and CNYAlive would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all who attended the show. Thanks to your generosity, the Foodbank raised over 130 lbs. in food donations and over $1,000 in cash donations! Because of you, there will be people that don’t have to go to bed hungry tonight!

All in all, for our first year, we believe things turned out pretty well. Is there some tweaking and streamlining and clarity that we need to work on? Of course! We are planning CNYAlive 2^nd Annual Battle of the Bands! and showcase local live music again, next spring,  Stay tuned…
