FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center announces auditions for its fall Kids Onstage program.
“The Wizard of Oz” will be presented in December as an all-youth production by arrangement with Lifehouse Productions. Auditions for the musical will be held September 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center’s current location, 357 State St. (use the Park Street entrance).

Children will tell a story, sing a song, and read from the script.
“We’ve put together an exciting new artistic team of professionals for this popular production and will once again be scouting for Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion along with the witches, Munchkins, flying monkeys and more,” said Nancy Fox, producer. “We have room for a large cast but we’re looking for those children well suited to the demands of a long rehearsal period and the expectations required. The ideal child, and his parents, will have a passion for the experience and not be overly committed to other extracurricular activities.”
“Making the commitment means the production is a priority where attendance is vitally important,” Fox continued. “It’s so much fun to be involved but the whole family has to partner with us to create an exciting experience for everyone. Every child will be a critical element of the finished product.”
The performances will run for one weekend only December 12-14 with two shows on the 13th.
