Take a break from the hustle and bustle of Harborfest, and enter a world of fantasy, with The Oswego Children’s Theater‘s production of “The Road to Oz†being presented an the Ancient Order of Hibernians Hall, in Oswego.
“The Road to Oz†was adapted for the stage by local author Wayne Mosher Jr., based on the fifth of fourteen books written about Oz by L. Frank Baum.
The production features a mixed cast of area youth and adults with colorful costumes, sets, and a familiar story and score calculated to please children of all ages.
“The Road to Oz†is directed by Lyndsie Lee Jones with the assistance of stage manager Kevin Murtha. Kenneth Jones is the Music Director; Dianne Morrisette, is the Accompanist; Costume design is by Kelly Mosher and Bob Larkin is the technical director.
The production is slated to be performed July 24, and 31 at 7:30 p.m. with matinee performances July 26, and August 2, at 2 p.m. at the Ancient Order of Hibernians Hall located at 22 Munn Street in Oswego. OCT would like to thank the AOH for allowing them to perform “The Road to Oz†at their facility.
An Additional Performance of the show will be presented at ballroom of the Hotel Syracuse for a national audience, at the Fortieth Annual Munchkin Convention on Saturday August 1 at 2 p.m.

ickets for the Oswego performances of the show are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students. Tickets for the Syracuse performance, which is open to the public, are $10. For reservations and more information call 315-342-5265 or 315-529-1009 or by email at [email protected]
