Two Oswego Girls Play In “Do You Read Me?”

OSWEGO – “Do You Read Me?” opened October 16 on Broadway On Demand and these two young ladies acted their little hearts out. But don’t worry. You sill have plenty of time to see them and the rest of the cast, as the show lights up the screen again October 23, 24, and 25.

Now if you haven’t heard, the plot centers around a colony a looney astronaut who are inhabiting Mars with the expressed intent of growing eggplants. That’s right! Your read it correctly…Eggplants! Now, if you think that’s a bit strange, wait till you meet the individual astronauts themselves. Two of these zany characters are played by Emma Pryor (Robin) and Annabella Sobrino (Dr. Dent). But let them speak for themselves…

Hi! My name is Emma. I really like theatre. It’s one of my passions. I have been in multiple school plays but last year I participated in The Oswego Children’s Theater production of The Wizard of Oz. I love hanging out with my friends. I am 11 turning 12 on November 3. I am a 7th-grade student at OMS. I have 3 siblings. I have 3 cats whose names are Mittens, Oreo, and Stewkitty. I have one dog named Rayne. I love animals. They are super cute. I did dance for a few years but I decided to put all my time into theater. My favorite movie is Beetlejuice and the musical is great too! (haven’t seen it but the soundtrack is great.) I am so happy to be in theater in 2020, to be honest. I didn’t know if we were going to do it at all but I am very happy I got to meet all of you and get to see you. I am really excited to work with you guys and get to know you. I can’t wait to be in, “Do you read me?” It’s very interesting. I like singing a lot. This will be a very fun thing to do this year to get out of bed and do! I like my character Robin/Thrace Mallomar. That’s it for my bio so thank you for everything.

This is Annabella’s second adventure into the thespian world. Her first voyage was in last year’s production of Fairy Tale Courtroom. When she is not reaching for the stars in the theater, she is rocketing around the ice rink in the Oswego Figure Skating Club. She is making her final orbit around Leighton Elementary this year as a 6th grader and looking forward to landing in middle school next year. She loves reading and learning new things. Right now her favorite past time is watching Star Wars the Mandalorian! She has dreams of someday meeting her own baby Yoda and running an adoption shelter for orphaned aliens. She is so excited to go out of this world with the cast of “Do You Read Me?”
