On Tuesday, Oct. 7, SUNY OswegoÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Office of Business and Community Relations (OBCR) and the WomenÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET)Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â will gather women from across Central New York for “Connections,” a day-long conference to be held in the newly renovated Sheldon Hall ballroom on the SUNY Oswego campus from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Among the featured speakers for the event will be SUNY Oswego alumnus Robert Feinberg who is a partner and national director of mergers and acquisition tax services at Ernst & Young.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Through Feinberg, Ernst & Young made a significant contribution to SUNY Oswego to support the Women’s Studies program, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
“Connections” is designed to bring women of all ages and backgrounds together to explore their place and power within their professions. The theme for this yearÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s event is “Vision, Change and Growth” and will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, a dessert reception and a “WomenÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Marketplace” where vendors promoting products and services for women will be showcased.
Other speakers for the event include Rosemary Crane, retired chairman and executive vice president for Johnson & Johnson, Jill Consor Beck, senior product manager for Microsoft and Melina Carnicelli, local entrepreneur.
