ESM Tops Oswego Girls’ Lacrosse

OSWEGO – Our senior night we recognized five seniors who will be graduating in a month from the OHS.

Seniors Cassandra Romeo, Grace Bruns, Madison Bullard, Hannah Koster and Maddie Taylor.

It has been fun watching these girls play the last two years and we wish them the best as they move forward.

The game started out very even for us – there was a lot of good back and forth lacrosse and the first half we got down but we kept bouncing back to keep it tight.

Going into the second half we were at 7 -8 with ESM leading.

The second half was a very physical game on both ends and we got ourselves in some foul trouble during the last 15 minutes of the game.

Tough to recover from and ESM took advantage of our foul trouble.

Abby Yurkon again came up big for us with several key stops in the first half and we gave her some good support. But being a man down in the second half we could not give her the same defensive support.

Senior Maddy Taylor was going for her 150th goal this evening and came up short just one goal. So we are sure she can accomplish that task when we finish our season in Homer on Wednesday.
