Menter Ambulance Appointments Public Information Officer

Joseph Provost, M.A., NRP - Menter Ambulance Public Information Officer

FULTON — Menter Ambulance appoints Paramedic Joseph Provost, M.A., NRP, as its first Public Information Officer.

According to President/CEO Zachary Menter, “As we work to increase community outreach, we have created an agency Public Information Officer (PIO). The purpose of the PIO is to get the right message to the right people at the right time. In an age of around the clock news cycles, citizen journalists, and anyone having the ability to post anything online at pretty much anytime, we feel it is important to have a PIO.”

According to Menter, the roles and responsibilities of the Public Information Officer include but are not limited to the following:

1. Serves as the main contact person for media inquiries.
2. In the event of a newsworthy incident the PIO will obtain correct and accurate information and appropriately distribute pertinent information that is permitted to be shared.
3. Ensure that information related to incidents that is shared does not violate HIPAA.
4. Consistently distribute accurate press releases.

For more information and to schedule a media interview, request for comment, or other general inquiry, please contact Joseph Provost at (315) 592-4145 x.163, (315) 679-1931 (direct), or by email at [email protected].
