Evelyn Barry Hutcheson, 80

OSWEGO, NY – Evelyn Barry Hutcheson, 80, a resident of E. Ninth St., Oswego, passed away Thursday Feb. 4, 2010, at St. Luke Health Services.

Mrs. Hutcheson was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late John and Helen (O’Neil) Barry, of County Cork, Ireland.

She was a life resident of Oswego.

She was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Oswego, and was a former president of the club’s Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She was also a member of the Oswego Elks Lodge Women’s Auxiliary.

She was a dual citizen of the United States and Ireland.

Mrs. Hutcheson was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles “Dick” Hutcheson of Oswego; three daughters, Sandra Guilds of Oswego, Mimi (Mel Hansen) Goulet of Fulton and PJ (Donald) Mills of Puerto Rico; a son, Charles J. (Janet) Hutcheson of Oswego; three brothers, Kevin Barry of Oswego, William (Jeanette) Barry of Rhode Island and Dennis Barry of Syracuse; two sisters, Mary (Ernie) Bellardini of Oswego and Linda Garafolo of Chicago; 11 grandchildren, Gina (Lombardo) Horn, Anne Marie Lombard, Michael Chwalek, Mark Chwalek, Drew Hutcheson, Katelyn Chwalek, Madison Goulet, Austin Ferguson, Devyn Hutcheson, Lauren Guilds and Freddie Ferguson; four great-grandchildren, Haley Horn, Jesse Horn, Aiden Chwalek and Layla Chwalek; several nieces and nephews; and many family members in Ireland.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Chwalek, who died in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St.
