OSWEGO, NY – The newly formed Morningstar Resident Choir recently entertained the staff at Morningstar Residential Care Center with its debut performance.
With a theme of “A Salute to Fall” the Resident Choir, under the direction of Morningstar activities aide Terry Ehli, sang a number of lively tunes that elicited plenty of hand-clapping, foot-stomping and a rousing round of applause from the staff members.
The Resident Choir rehearses weekly and is currently practicing songs for its upcoming holiday themed performances.
“It was a fun afternoon for residents and the staff,” said Morningstar activities sirector Kelsey Rose. “The choir is a popular addition and we are welcoming new members each week. The residents love being part of the choir and having the chance to entertain others.”
Located at 17 Sunrise Drive in Oswego, the center is a family-owned and operated, 120-bed long-term and sub-acute skilled nursing facility with full rehabilitation services including: physical, occupational and speech therapy; post-surgical orthopedic care; respiratory care; and additional sub acute care services.
