Some of the elements for writing a good story included in the workshop will be: character building, deciding on a setting, planning for the plot, involving emotion, and constructing dialogue correctly. Publishing tips will be shared also.

Organizers say the event will give participants the gift of time, beautiful surroundings near Lake Ontario, and a variety of ideas for writing prose or poetry.

Participants are asked to bring a lunch. Beverages will be provided by the facilitators. Weather appropriate clothing should be worn as writing time outdoors will be optional.
