FULTON – CNY Arts Center announces a busy schedule with a season of art classes at the new CNY Arts Center Downtown Studio.
The community Arts Center is expanding its programming to offer art activities for all ages in a variety of options and opportunities.
The former Art Shop, 47 S. First St., across from the gazebo, has been converted into an Art Studio, CNY Arts Center Downtown, for classes and small community events including family project workshops, seasonal art projects for holiday gift giving.
Photography workshops with professional photographer Norman Schillawski, and a monthly tea time for ladies with tea, eateries and a relaxing art activity to share.
A full roster of classes is being developed and teachers as well as students are being recruited.
CNY Arts Center downtown is a comfortable space for craft classes and art activities.
An afterschool art club is searching for an art instructor to work with kids and develop art opportunities for public art.
A new birthday party package is being developed for Arty Parties.
Classes continue at the Arts Center at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga College Fulton campus with Kids Onstage for ages 10 and up.
Thursdays from 4-5:30 pm kids work with director Adam Schmidtmann to hone their skills and stage presence for upcoming youth productions.
Evening events kick off with A Night at the Tony’s dessert theatre, October 15 at 8 p.m., the first Halloween masquerade ball October 22 at 7 p.m., and a visit from the imaginary rabbit Harvey onstage when the classic comedy opens November 11 at 7:30 p.m. and runs two weekends through November 20.
