The ceremony was led by Rev. Robert Stephenson and Terri Pratt, director of social services.

Donna Rose, director of activities, who helped organize the event played piano as Kathy Zeigler led those gathered in song and was the featured soloist.

As each deceased resident’s name was read, family or St. Luke staff placed a flower in remembrance of the resident on a Memorial Wreath. Words of remembrance from family members, songs, prayers, and even some laughter brought on by fond memories of residents’ lives were recounted for all who gathered during the ceremony.

“We are honored to have been able to serve and care for so many wonderful people,” said Pratt. “Families put their trust in St. Luke and we think it is appropriate to both remember and to celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us and to share in the feelings of loss families may be experiencing.”
