The Oswego County Farm Bureau will hold its annual business meeting and dinner on October 28th at the Palermo Methodist Church on the corner of State Route 3 and County Route 35 in Palermo. Oswego County Farm Bureau President Nancy Weber, from Mexico, stated that the purpose of the annual meeting is to adopt legislative policy resolutions, approve financial statements and to elect members of the Counties’ board of directors for the 2011 – 2012 year.
The meeting is the first step in the adoption of New York Farm Bureau policy. Members will vote on resolutions which will be submitted to the state annual meeting delegates in Binghamton, December 6th – 8th. Some of the topics to be discussed will include federal tax reform and issues regarding immigration and guest-worker programs. Oswego County Farm Bureau encourages its members to attend the annual meeting and take part in deciding the legislative issues that Farm Bureau should work on in the next year.
