Ferris A. Elhage, 87, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Fulton, died July 8, 2009.
Born in Fulton he had resided in Florida since 1987. Ferris was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre. He was a life member of the V.F. W. Post 4590 in Plant City, Florida.
Ferris was predeceased by his parents, Anton Elhage and Rathia Tounes Elhage; an infant son, Jeffrey; sister, Shehia Astafan and three brothers, Naive, Francis and Hider Elhage.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Afton L. Elhage of Zephyrhills, Florida; three daughters, Eileen (Raymond) Rice of Baldwinsville, Kathryn (Donnie) Godfrey of Phoenix and Nancy (Danny) Charles of Dade City, Florida; two sons, Steven (Joyce) Elhage of Bedford, Virginia and Roger (Cinde) Elhage of BullÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Gap, Tennessee; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Naivie Moses of Baldwinsville; brother, Thomas Elhage of Baldwinsville; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (formerly The Church of the Immaculate Conception) corners of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton. Burial will be at St. MaryÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
