Festival of Lessons, Carols and Candlelight Planned

FULTON, NY – On Christmas Eve, First United Church, 33 S. Third St., will host ‘A Festival of Lessons, Carols and Candlelight.”

The service will feature the reading of familiar Christmas scripture, the singing of traditional Christmas carols, the music ministry of the Chancel Choir and the United Voices Quartet and the lighting of candles at the close of the service.

Ella Matteson Hicks and Burton Phillips, choir director, will each present a solo to the service.

The public is welcome to attend.

The facility is accessible to the physically disabled.

First United Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA and the Presbyterian Church (USA).

The congregation is active in the greater Fulton community through the Greater Fulton Area Council of Christian Churches and many other avenues of sharing.

The outreach of the congregation includes the Open Doors Neighborhood Center, an effort to tie the congregation with the needs and aspirations of the larger community.
