Fidelis Care Supports Catholic Charities Holiday Projects

Fidelis Care is again donating materials and volunteers for Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Thanksgiving and Christmas projects. “Fidelis comes through for Catholic Charities of Oswego County each year at Thanksgiving and Christmas time,” said Mary Margaret Pezella-Pekow, executive director. “This year they donated bags for our food give away and also provided gift certificates for turkeys. Not only did Fidelis donate these items, but this year they also provided ‘Lights on the Lake’ tickets for our CYO members. Most importantly, Fidelis provides outreach to our consumers and assists individuals and families with enrolling in health insurance plans or answering any questions clients may have with health insurance. They have a person on site at Catholic Charities on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. On Thursday, November 17, they are helping us out with our food give away..” Helen Hoefer, left, Catholic Charities director of community services, is with Stephanie Pestillo, Fidelis outreach specialist. “Catholic Charities was founded in 1930 and has expanded its agency with many programs and services that have touched thousands of children, families and individuals throughout Oswego County,” Pezella-Pekow said. “Generous gifts and donations to Catholic Charities have supported more than 160,000 children, woman and men in need. For information, contact Mary-Margaret Pezella-Pekow at mmpekow@ccoswego.com, 598-3980.
