OSWEGO, NY – Fidelis Care has signed on as a “Triple Word” sponsor for the eighth annual Diane Falise Memorial Scrabble Fest.
“We’re very pleased to have Fidelis as one of our ‘Triple Word’ level sponsors for Scrabble Fest 2014,” said Meg Henderson, coordinator of Literacy Volunteers.
Fidelis Care offers quality, affordable health insurance coverage to New York State residents of all ages and at all stages of life.
To be held September 19 at the Oswego Elks Lodge, the fest, serves as a fundraiser for Literacy Volunteers.
The event will also feature a silent auction, and a 50 / 50 drawing, raffles and more.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with games beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m.
Entry fee is $100 per team and includes light refreshments.
Community members looking to join the fun but not compete are welcome.
The cost for spectators is $15 and includes light refreshments.
A cash bar will also be available during the event.
All proceeds from Scrabble Fest will support Literacy Volunteers’ efforts to increase literacy in Oswego County through services that help adults gain reading, writing, and other life skills.
