The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior/Senior High School Guidance Office will be hosting a Financial Aid Work Session on February 12 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the school’s library media center.
APW seniors, along with their parents, are invited to attend this free workshop to find out more information about one of the most important steps of college admissions, the financial aid process.
Joining the Guidance Office for the workshop will be the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Cayuga Community College, Allison Cass.
Cass will provide professional guidance and assist families in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA.
Federal student aid is provided by the U.S. Department of Education and does not depend solely on financial need. The aid can cover such postsecondary educational expenses as tuition, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation.
The APW Guidance Office is encouraging students to apply for FAFSA even if they have not applied to a college or are undecided about post high school plans as the FAFSA application closing date is quickly approaching.
In the event of inclement weather the Financial Aid Work Session will be moved to February 13 at the same time and location.
For more information about the Financial Aid Night or to reserve a seat, please call the APW Guidance Office at (315) 625-5229.
