OSWEGO – The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is excited about a fantastic opportunity available to Oswego County kids and families to help them attend Camp Hollis this summer!
Families who qualify can send their 9- to 14-year-old children to camp for a week at no cost to the family.
Oswego County families that fall under the 200 percent poverty guidelines may qualify for assistance with camp fees.
“Families will need to complete a TANF Services Application/Certification packet in order to take advantage of this opportunity. There are trained people on staff at the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and at Camp Hollis to help the families with this process,” said Brandon Morey, Oswego County Parks and Recreation Coordinator. “Families who plan to pay, or who have already paid for a week at camp, can still utilize this program to send their child for a second week at no additional cost.”
Parents who aren’t sure if they qualify or who would like more information may call the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau at 315-349-3451 or Camp Hollis at 315-349-3241.
Camp Hollis is owned by Oswego County and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau as a residential camp during the summer months for children ages 8 to 14 years old.
The facility, located at 40 Health Camp Road, off Lakeshore Road in the town of Oswego, is available to rent starting in May through October for use by families, clubs, school groups and other organizations.
