Fire Damages Town of Oswego Home

A home in the town of Oswego suffered heavy damage in a huge fire early Tuesday.

The Oswego Town Fire Department reports that fire was reported at 207 Furniss Station Rd. at a few minutes after 4:00 a.m. Minetto volunteer firefighters also helped to fight the blaze.

The home was fully engulfed in flames when the first firefighters arrived.

It took half an hour to knock down most of the flames. Firefighters left the scene at about 7:00 a.m. No one was injured in the blaze, according to Assistant Fire Chief Greg Herrmann, who said the building appeared to be vacant.

The home and garage were destroyed.

Oswego County’s property database lists the owner of 207 Furniss Station Rd. as Lydia Aubertine of Constantia.
