The blaze was reported around 8 p.m. at the Dunsmoor Onion Farm on Route 104 near Tug Hill Road.

There were several explosions reportedly heard by area residents. One person said the flames could be seen from her home in Sterling.

Nearly a dozen fire departments have been called in to fight the fire.

A massive fire operation, exterior firefight only, is under way.

They have called in mutual aid from as far away as Cayuga County.

The barn and warehouse are on fire.

The roof has completely burned off and most of the structure has reportedly collapsed.

The fire was reportedly under control around 11:30 p.m.

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.
