First Harborfest 50-50 winner claims prize

OSWEGO, NY – The Harborfest “Triple Play” 50/50 raffle for 2013 had three different drawings and three different winners.

This twist to the cash raffle program was put in place to offer an increasing pot for the final drawing and for three different people to walk away with some cash.

The raffle was sponsored by Furdi’s Homes in Fulton and ticket buyers were able to look up the winning daily drawings at the Furdi website on Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings to see the previous night’s winning number and dollar prize.

The fact people were buying three tickets for three dollars each day and that they would be entered into all available drawings, the Sunday pot continued to grow which sparked a great last day of sales to try and still get in on the biggest pot.

The lucky winner of the Sunday portion of the 50/50 was Oswego resident Bill Barbeau who took home $2,910.

When claim forms are returned to the Harborfest offices, the Friday night winner of $888 is from Verona, NY and the Saturday night winner of $1,860 is from Wernersville, Pa.

Harborfest thanks all who participated in the “Triple Play” 50/50 raffle for 2013 sponsored by Furdi’s Homes.

The portion of the money which goes to Harborfest, will be used by the federally registered non-profit organization to help keep the event as New York State’s Premier Admission-Free Festival.
