FJHS Students Recognize Positive Influence of Staff Members

Submitted article

As part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) initiative at Fulton Junior High School, students take time each week to recognize staff members for creating a positive school environment and going the extra mile to support student success. Staff members are presented with the rewards so that they can see the notes the students write to them.

In addition, a drawing is held each week and one lucky staff member is selected to receive a token of appreciation from the PBIS committee out of the hundreds of staff recognition rewards submitted each week. Sally Parkhurst, an aide at the Junior High, is pictured with Steven Gilliland who submitted the staff recognition reward for her.
