PARISH – Daniel Dalin, president of the Greater Parish Area Chamber of Commerce announces the fifth annual Focus on Parish Photo Contest.
The theme this year is “Animal Wild Life.”
Parish is a natural wildlife treasure. With hundreds of acres of countryside, cool forests and miles of pristine rivers, streams and ponds, it provides a natural habitat for its vast array of wild life.
To promote the value of this pristine area, the Greater Parish Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its contest with the theme, “Animal Wildlife.”
Amateur photographers, young and old, who reside in the town of Parish are eligible and encouraged to participate.
Pictures of wildlife animals in the changing seasons of Parish are encouraged.
The entries must be taken within the Parish area in the 2011/2012 timeframe.
There will be 4 cash prizes awarded:
First Prize: $100
Second Prize: $75
Third Prize: $50
Fourth Prize: $25
The winning photographs will used by the chamber to promote tourism in Parish.

No photos will be accepted from professional photographers.
Photos shall be no smaller than 5×7 or larger than 8×10.
All entries must be matte framed; but without a frame or glass.
All photos become the property of the chamber with the understanding that they may be used for promotional purposes. Photos will not be returned.
Photos may not have the name of the photographer anywhere in the front of the photo.
Photos must be taken in the town of parish by a resident or a former resident during 2011/2012.
Photo entries must be submitted no later than December 1, 2012. Parish village/town office
Mills & Petrie memorial gymnasium. Submit photos anytime after November 1.
The decision of the judges will be final.
All photos must have name printed on the back with phone number where you can be reached.
