FOIL Expert to Speak on Public Access to Records, Meetings

The SUNY Oswego Office of Business and Community Relations will present a public issues forum Thursday, Sept. 22, on the Freedom of Information Law, featuring Robert Freeman, executive director of the state Committee on Open Government.

Freeman, a co-author of the state’s Freedom of Information Law and an international expert and adviser on public access to government, will speak at 7 p.m. in Room 114 of the Campus Center about the public’s rights to gain access to government records and to attend meetings of public bodies.
