Forum to Address Transportation Sustainability, Options

OSWEGO — The SUNY Oswego Office of Business and Community Relations will provide an informational panel presentation on regional and sustainable transportation at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in the Campus Center auditorium.

Speakers for the event, which is free and open to public, will include Kevin Miller, landscape architect and regional contact for the state Department of Transportation’s sustainability program; Casey Brown, communications coordinator for the Central New York Regional Transportation Authority; and John Moore, SUNY Oswego’s director of engineering and sustainability.

The panel will cover information related to statewide transportation and sustainability efforts, regional transportation options, and an assessment of the college’s carbon footprint related to commuting patterns of its students, faculty and staff.

Those in attendance also will learn about opportunities to maximize personal, sustainable transportation options. A question and answer session will follow the panel presentation.
