FULTON, NY – Parents of Special Children, Inc., will be hosting a free workshop on “Understanding Diploma & Credential Options” for parents and guardians of students of disabilities.
This training, being offered through SUPAC, will provide families with important information to help them understand these options to become an active participant in the transition planning process.
Participants will understand:
· The current graduation / diploma options in NY State
· The current credential / exiting options in NY State
· The importance of career development occupational studies integration
Kristine O’Brien, a representative from SUPAC, will present this informative workshop at no charge to our families.
This workshop will be held on January 28 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the PSC office located at 2 Tower Drive, Fulton.
A light lunch will be provided.
SUPAC is a university based center in New York State that brings together faculty, students and staff with members of the local community to provide parents of children with disabilities information, training, expertise and support necessary to promote meaningful involvement in their child’s education.
SUPAC is the Mid-State Region Special Education Parent Center.
