Friendly’s + Oswego County Historical Society = Great FUNdraiser!

As part of this year’s Oswego County Historical Society’s “Be Historical. Keep Our History Alive” project the Friendly’s Restaurant on W. Bridge St. in Oswego has offered a FUNdraising evening to assist the society with it.

On Tuesday, August 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. anyone carrying a special coupon for the event will have 15% of their total bill donated by Friendly’s to the Historical Society. The finances raised will support the society’s efforts to keep Oswego County history alive for the community.

Coupons for this event may be picked up at the Farmer’s Market on August 11, at the Historical Society’s table, at the museum on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, or from one of the society’s Board of Trustees members. One may also receive a coupon by printing one off from the museum’s Facebook page at

“We are so grateful to Friendly’s for their generous offer,” said project Chairwoman Meg Schneider. “This will really help us keep the wonderful Richardson-Bates House Museum open for visitors and protect thousands of items in its permanent collection.”

The Richardson-Bates House Museum is located at 135 East Third Street in Oswego. The museum is open for tours Thursday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. from April through December. For more information call 343-1342.
