Friends of History in Fulton, NY are pleased to announce they will be holding their Annual Celebration on November 5, 2010. The event will take place at the Fulton Polish Home, located at 157 West First Street South in Fulton, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Those attending will enjoy food stations, cash bar, raffles, and entertainment. The public is welcome and tickets are available at Friends of History or by calling 598 4616.
At the Celebration a person who has made significant contributions to the historical organization is honored with the Elma J. Smith Award. The honoree this year is Marian Stanton, the first president of Friends of History.
In addition to the presentation of the award there will be a program presented by Mary Jeanne Bialas entitled “Trunks and Travel: A 19th Century Journey in New York State.”
Friends of History is headquartered at the John Wells Pratt House Museum and is charged with the preservation of Fulton’s history. You will find many items and displays that represent our rich past. The public is invited to visit and enjoy the wealth of materials contained within the Museum, located at 177 South First Street. It is open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
