Friends of the Oswego Library To Host Benefit Dinner-Movie Night

OSWEGO, NY – The Friends of the Oswego Library will hold a benefit on May 20.

It will be held at The Lake Ontario Conference Center at Alexandria’s. Bar opens a 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

The movie is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Dinner: Pasta buffet (vodka ravioli, alfredo and marinara sauces), meatballs,  salad, rolls, coffee, tea, water and dessert.

Movie: 12 Years a Slave

Price: $20 per ticket for meal and movie

Tickets can be purchased online at Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club’s Facebook page or at the Oswego Public Library, rivers end bookstore, or The Oswego Tea Company.

Dr. Joseph Sgarlatta, a noted historian, educator and lecturer, will introduce the movie and give a brief talk on the connection that Solomon Northrup, the main character in the movie, had with the city of Oswego.
