FULTON – The Fulton Art Association will hold its 44th annual Art Show and Competition on May 20 – 21 in the Community Room of the Fulton Municipal Building.
The association is comprised of artists from around the Central New York area.
Membership dues of $20 are required for participation.
Artists may then submit five entries into the competition (included in the membership dues).
Registratons for the art show are due by May 5.
Artists from Central New York can submit artwork to compete in 14 possible categories:
3D (comprised of all three-dimensional work including woodworking, ceramics, paper, stained glass, metal, etc.),
Drawing A (charcoal, chalk, pencil, graphite, conte pencil),
Drawing B (colored pencil, Prismacolor, Conte crayon),
Drawing C (fluids including markers, cray-pas, pastels, pen and ink, etc.),
Drawing D – Mixed Drawing Mediums (such as combining Drawing A and
Drawing C … combining different drawing mediums together),
Drawing E – Scratchboarding
NEW Acrylic paintings — on board or stretched canvas
Painting Mixed Media (paintings that have added medium other than paint — adding in pen/ink, flowers, feathers, or other object to painting)
Photography — digital or film combined to one category
Printmaking (watercolor monoprint, reduction print, fabric, wood block cuts, linoleum cuts, metal/copper engraving, stone lithography, etc)
Computer Graphic Art – (works done using computer software — advertising designs, drawings, photo montages created from artist’s own original artwork
Special Category – all mediums compete against each other and follow the theme – Babies: Birth to 2 years old (through 1 year old) 2-3 year old are toddlers, not babies
