The seven people hoping to win a seat on the Fulton Board of Education answered questions about their positions on issues of finance, curriculum and worker relations Monday night.

They appeared at a forum at the Fulton Education Center and were questioned by Aaron Curtis of the Palladium-Times, Nicole Reitz of the Valley News and Dave Bullard of Oswego County Today.com

There are four openings on the board this year.  Three incumbent members have chosen not to run for reelection.  All three — Robert Ireland, Rae Howard and Dan Pawlewicz — were in the audience along with returning board members Robbin Griffin and Rosemary Occhino.  The fourth opening occurred when board member Janet Truong resigned earlier this year, because of what she called a personal matter.

Below you’ll find the complete debate, broken down into the eleven questions asked.  Answers began at one end of the table and ran in order to the other end.

So, if a male voice is the first to answer, the order of answers is as follows:

  • Fred Cavalier
  • Barbara Hubbard
  • Sandy Rogers
  • David Cordone
  • David Carvey
  • Teresa Loetterle
  • Christine Plath

If a female voice is first to answer, it belongs to Plath, then Loetterly, Carvey, Cordone, Rogers, Hubbard and Cavalier.
