OSWEGO, NY – Debbie Engelke of Time and Again Books looks over a book offered at her East Utica Street store about the ship Titanic.
This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of this famous ship.
Engelke won a ticket to “A Titanic Affair” through the H. Lee White Marine Museum’s annual benefit drawing last fall.
The gala will be held on April 14 at the American Foundry.
It will consist of a re-creation of the first class dinner, dancing, a commemoration ceremony, music with harpist Marcella Slatter, the Do Good Swing Band with band leader Don Goodness, a silent auction and more.
This is part of a year-long recognition of the disaster sponsored by the Marine Museum.
In addition ballroom dancing classes are being offered and a Titanic Exhibit will be opening in July.
